Prospect Activation Salaries - Playoff Cap Considerations

Hi Everyone!

Thanks to the Thrashers GM, the list of prospects and their activation salaries are now updated!

Prospects and Activation Salaries

Please review the list and consider the following:

  • If you're happy with keeping the prospect at the term and salary, you don't need to do anything. They will be on your roster at the posted term and salary this weekend.
  • If you rather not keep them, please post a message on site, under this topic indicating which ones you would like to release.
    • If you release after the are put onto your roster, it will be a buyout and 50% of the salary will impact your salary cap for 2x the term.
  • Try to trade them if you don't want to lose them for nothing :)

Hope that helps clarify what you have to consider going into free agency. Sheets are due this Saturday, Sept 20th at 8PM pacific time.

The NHL is moving towards some kind salary cap in the playoffs this season. Expect us to follow suit this season. I need to get my head around the rules on that. Those of you that already sent in sheets, thank you, but feel free to send updated ones.

The below is posted in the BFHL Rules, but for your convenience

  • Max Salary Cap: 95.5 Million [Updated June 2025]
  • Min Salary Floor: 70.6 Million [Updated June 2025]
  • Farm Cap: $3.453 Million (Players in farm are 10% of Pro salary, meaning you can sign $34.53mm of NHL Salaries in the farm team)
  • Min Salary: 775,000 [No change in June 2025; MOU increases it to $775,000 starting 23-24 to 25-26]
  • Max Salary: 19.1 Million [Updated June 2025, note this is 20% of max cap]
  • Max Salary allowed in the farm: $4,680,076.

Thanks

Anthony
