Waivers "Fixed"
Just an update for the waivers settings. Players put on waivers were going straight to the farm. It's now set so at first simulation, your guy will show on waivers. GMs have until the next simulation day to claim them if desired.

The Storm and Nokians have completed the first trade of the season.
Going to the Nokians is RW, Nathan Horton
Going to the Storm is D, Tobias Enstrom.
Both players are expected to join their respective teams tonight on emergency charter, in time for the opening face off!
Sorry for the delay, busy weekend and travelling.
We will probably continue accepting FA offers the rest of the season. Not much to pick from so the window for submitting bids for the time being would be the first Friday of every month starting with December 4th, 2009 as the next opportunity.
Here are the results of October 30th, 2009 submitted bids:
A lot less activity than I expected!! Next week October 30th, 8:50pm deadline is your next chance to pick up some players to fill out your team. No more opportunities for freebie releases of players. As of this posting, the STS file is now updated (10:22pm timestamp)
Here's a quick summary of what happened.
Players Dropped
Chris Osgood
Martin Brodeur
Michael Ryder
Francois Beauchemin
Marek Zidlicky
Dan Cleary
Players Signed
We are now a couple weeks into the inaugural BFHL season. In consideration of the fact that many of you are new to this style of hockey league and the fact that we had changed the ratings slightly (for defencemen) during the draft, we are giving all GMs a chance to love your team that much more. The freebie drop is a one time event, so make the most of it.
Draft is finished!!!
I don't know about you guys but it was pretty painful for me. Imagine going to 46 like originally planned? Anyways, you all got some cap relief because we didn't drop the Farm cap any lower. I know I need it since I'm riding pretty close to cap... Who knows, maybe we'll do some unassigned signing periods. Not sure how that's going to work yet. We will see.
Now some things to consider:
It's been a bit painful but today's the big day. Official start day of the BFHL!
I've now updated the league files to reflect up to round 33. For those of you that uploaded lines already, please download the newest league file and check your roster/lines again since the new players added may have changed some things.
Storm and Supastas, you will need to work on your roster to make it fit under the cap. Please do this asap as we need to figure it out before the sim runs tonight.
Alright guys,
To give you all a chance to see how your roster is turning out and picking out your lineups... I have updated the league file BFHL0.STS to include all your draft players up to round 29. If you've forgotten how to get started, try this link: http://ynohtna.com/bfhl/?q=node/14 .
Please be welcomed to join my sportingnews fantasy hockey league.
For thos unfamiliar, it's more a cap management/stock market type game, hitting guys on hot streaks, dropping them when they tail off, etc etc.
Pick 7 guys, change a couple every so often.

Hey Everyone,
So a few things to talk about here
1) Start Date
Monday, October 5th, 2009 will be the official start day of the Inaugural BFHL season.
The season will be an 82 game season and will be stretched out so that it coincides with the end of the NHL regular season as well.
