2013 Open FA Round 2 Results, next round, Sept 22 6PM PST

Well you guys have been doing a lot more homework than me!  I'm kinda feeling down about my non participation this round! (Who's this Niklas Svedberg that everyone all of a sudden wanted)

Exciting nail biting bid for Martin St. Louis! (EDIT:  St. Louis Offers too close, he will further test/check the market)

Next round will be a couple weeks to give you some time to look at your teams more, make some moves or something.  Here are the unaudited results (there are some erroneous bids to cross off)

2013 Open FA Round 1 Results, next round, Sept 8

Well I'm glad we have some nutso GMs here to keep things entertaining.  For the couple new GMs, it's a learning experience :)

[Edit by Bombers:  Dicerolls witnessed by Bombers and Storm.  Note winning bid is the highest offered bid probability PLUS "Yes" result.]

Next Round: SEPTEMBER 8, 2013 6pm PST deadline.  Remember you need a minimum of 35 players.

Cutting to the chase, here are the results.

Own FA Updated, Sept 1, 2013 6PM PST is Round 1 Open FA deadline, buyout rule change

Hi all

I applied all the signings, released unsigned players, processed those annoying conditional trades (Note: ANNOYING).

Updated the Free Agent List . Now before you go nuts in free agency, note that we are changing buyouts next year.  Currently we just make you pay cash but we will be implementing a cap penalty for buyouts for the 2014-15 season.

Clarification of Rated Players that can be Dropped Exception

Hi BFHL GMs

It got pointed out to me that I didn't mention all the scenarios for what can happen to rated players that did not play in NHL last year.

In that email, I only said that you could drop a player without penalty if he didn't play last year due to our rating set being based on the last two years.

I should add that you could also elect to request that he goes to the prospect list because that's what normally would happen in our previous years.

Rule Clarification VERY IMPORTANT, MUST READ

BFHL tries to ensure that there are no duplicate players in free agency, but we are only human and errors do occur.

This has happened twice now (Oduya, and now Orlov).

GMs are responsible to make sure that THEIR players and prospects are not signed by another team.  If the "Original Owner" notices their players signed by a "New GM", it is the Original Owner's obligation to notify us.  If they don't and it results in duplicate players existing, the Original Owner loses that player.

Holy what happened to my roster?

I probably shouldn't be doing this sort of stuff at this hour, but I did it anyways.  It was made easier with some big help from Ivan and since he finished his FA stuff so fast, the pressure was on me to get moving :)

It's been a frustrating year ... again ... trying to source our ratings set.  We may very well attempt to take it in our own hands and do them ourselves.  The biggest fear I have about that is geting the data we need, timely and reliably...  BFHL Ratings team anyone? hehe

Anyways, more important stuffs first:
