Hey Expansion GM's.
I haven't had much time to fill you in the details for your start in BFHL and I know there's a lot ot get a handle on, but we're here to help you as much as we can every step of the way. A few notes to consider:

Expansion Prospect Draft
- Like the NHL, your prospects are your future. This draft is to give you some future :) note that some guys already stepped into the NHL.
- Normally you will keep these guys as prospects until their ratings are useful.

Expansion Team Draft
- This is where you take established players from the existing teams. You inherit their contract if any remaining or you get their initial signing rights.
- There are also guys that are Unrestricted Free Agents that you will be choosing from in this draft. For these guys, you are acquiring their rights but still need to sign them

We have a salary cap to consider. It's like the NHL's at 64.3million
- The free agent tool will help you gauge their approximate salaries
- Please see details here about the free agent tool, you won't need it just yet but it's good to get acquainted with it and get an idea of how much your players will cost you. You will need to be careful not to spend to the cap this first year while you get your feet wet
- You will need a minimum of 35 players in the pro and farm to start the season.
- Your prospects that are ready to play in the BFHL (ie: played in the NHL last year) will be activated at the same salary as their NHL salary.
