BNN, May 12, 2011 - Baghdad.
Baghdad Bombers fans took to the street after the losing game 8 to Aviators and called for the Commissioner. As the city braced itself for chaos, the team was found hunkered down in an underground safehouse. Captain Mike Richards was gracious in defeat, noting that the Aviators played a great game 8, and deserved to win 4 out of 8 games, but questioned why the series didn't end after the Bombers team won 4 games to 2.
Bombers GM was furious, as the league's mistake cost the team at a minimum, $3mm in revenues - and more realistically, closer to $6mm+ in cash that they were looking to use on buyouts. When we managed to calm him down, he did note that next year was looking up very well with the great assets they have in place.
