End of BFHL 2010/11 Regular Season - Playoffs begin Monday - Entry Draft Lotto Winner

What a great season!

First, congratulations to Presidents Trophy winner Tony the Tigers!  Bombers led most of the year however, a late season let down and a late season push by the Tigers enabled them to snatch the title by a single point!

The two teams are great stories this year about a couple savvy GMs doing what it takes to turn their team, both whom missed the playoffs last year, into championship contenders in just one season.  Bombers selections paid off quickly and produced a balanced team that kept producing wins while the Tigers, sensing the time was now for his team, mortgaged the future in terms of picks to bring in Henrik Sedin and also signed free agent Evgeni Nabokov.

On the opposite end of the scale, last years BFHL Cup finalists both barely squeezed back into the playoff picture.  The Storm looked to be the outside looking in as they needed help to back themselves into the playoffs.  Philly, with their power house team (with a well rested Anze Kopitar eager to be unleashed from salary cap hell in the farm) struggled all year to maintain playoff position, only needed a single point to make their first play off appearance.  Alas, Ovechkin will have to paitiently wait until next year to taste the playoffs.

The playoffs will start on monday. League files have already been uploaded and ready for your planning.  NOTE that the league file name is different so you will need to open a different league file.

And finally, something for the Peruvian fans to cheer for, the Alpacas Dynamite has won the draft lotto and will be selecting #1 overall in the 2011/12 BFHL Entry Draft!

Scratch that last part! While I thought it was brutal for the brutal Coyotes team to lose their #1 pick via lotto, they OWN the lotto winner's #1 pick! Hilairous!
