After 42 games, the Bombers are 1st in the league with 63 points and look forward to maintaining their momentum. The Bombers are leading the league in GF (157) and GA (111), but am lagging behind in 6th place in PP% (21%) and are only 3rd in PK% (84%).
The team's free agent signings have provided an immense boost to the team - Brian Gionta is the 2nd leading point producer on the team, while Joffrey Lupul has provided additional goal scoring help with 17 markers during the season. Scott Nicol is an astounding 54.83% on the face offs to help the PK (as noted above, ranked 3rd in the league).
The team does not anticipate any significant changes during this year - this is the team's big chance to push for the cup, as many of the free agent signings may not be returning. Additionally, the cornerstone to the team, Jimmy Howard, will be a UFA next year - the recent signing of Tim Thomas and the emergence of Ondrej Pavelec does not bode well for Howard in 2011-2012.
Highlights of the Season:
Stoning Worg's Daniel Sedin.
Forgetable Moments:
- Losing to the Bullies...utterly embarassing moment for any team
- Entire team not representing the Wales Conference all-star team
