Hockeys Future has released its revised Top 50 prospects.
The BFHL has summarized the prospect list based on which team owns the rights to that prospect. The league looked at three criteria:
Quantity of Prospects: Simple count of the number of prospects each team owns. Bombers has the most number of prospects. Expected average is 3.1 prospects (50 / 16 teams).
Quality of Prospect Pool: Sum of all the "value" of all the prospects owned, where the value of the #1 prospect is 50, #2 is 49, #3 is 48...etc. the value for #50 is 1. Storm has higher overall quality of prospects (Note: 3 in the top 10). Expected average is 80 pts (51x25 /16).
Avg Quality of Prospect: Represents the total points per team, divided by the number of prospects. Coyotes have, on average, the strongest prospects. [Edit: Note, this may be slightly misleading, as having prospect ranked #50 and #1 is worse than having just one prospect ranked #24. Probably should show standard deviation as well.]
