Click here to download the tool, email it to me when complete
Instructions For Using Template:
- Enter RFA or UFA player names in column A - spelling must be exact. You can also select the player using a drop-down box in each cell (will appear once you click a cell).
- If player name is not there, it means the player is either playing in Europe or retired. Either way, you will not be able to resign him (This will alway be something to consider in BFHL. If a player is not playing in the NHL, you likely won't be able to use him the following year until after he comes back to the NHL)
- Columns G to J provides you the recommended salary to offer based on the number of years you want him signed.
- Recommended salaries give you 90% probability of resigning the player - offer more/less to increase/decrease probability. Note: Lowball salaries will likely generate a 0% probability.
- Enter the amount you want to offer in column K (Minimum $500,000; Maximum $11,880,000).
- Enter contract terms in column L (Minimum 1; Maximum 4).
- Submit sheet back to commissioner when completed.
- Note: You can ONLY edit the cells highlighed in light blue.
Any rejected salaries you can re-bid on in the subsequent free agent rounds. However note that EVERYONE will have access to bid on those players! Original team will have right to match on RFAs.
