While we are all occupied with watching who will take the BFHL Presidents Trophy, the most exciting race lies in the lowly Division 5. There is one play off spot left to be determined and it's dedicated to the Division 5 champion, where "Just about .500 is good enough"
The race is on between the Coyotes and Ettenig with Ettenig holding a one point edge. Both have one game remaining and the Coyotes will have a chance on Thursday to take the division lead. A minimum of one point is required for the Coyotes to have a slim chance while holding the wins tie breaker. Lose and the Coyotes are out.
The Coyotes play off hopes rests in the hands of two cousin's. First he must win at least a point from Philly who is playing for pride in an extremely disappointing season for Ovechkin, Savard and Kopitar. Then a waiting game for the Nokians who play Ettenig on Friday. If the Coyotes beat the Phillies, they would then need the Nokians to simply win the game in regulation or OT. If they suffer an OTL, the Nokians would need an outright win for the Coyotes to secure a spot.
