So I thought after my last tardiness I would be all gungho in driving this Redden thing. However, as it turns out, I relied on short notes, past references to old communications, individual conversations, used work as an excuse... I never gave myself a chance to work with you all towards something that makes sense. That's just not fair and I'm sorry about that. I keep losing track of this so let's pin that thread to keep the discussion going and I'll chime in where I'm coming from and who knows, the rule may look completely different next year. I'm quite tempted to just unilaterally decide something but I've been sucking at running this thing the past couple years so that's not serving anyone any good
So nothing on the "Wade Redden" rule is in place this year, we'll have a solid rule next year.
Other than that, let's get the signing sheets done for our own free agents only by August 26th, then we'll do 4x weekly signings starting September 9th. Cut off time for all signing sheets is 8pm pacific. Please don't wait til 7:59pm incase a communication glitch happens ;) You need to get to 35 signed players before the last signing session, make sure you understand what a qualifying offer is!
