Hi Everyone
Sorry but even though excel online is free, it doesn't actually handle the cell protection properly! I have updated it so the sheet is now unlocked. It was there just to prevent the sheet from getting messed up if you edit the wrong areas.
Just remember, only edit in the blue shaded areas and if the sheet is not working well anymore, just go get a new copy!
