Next phase is to put your claim on the free agents that are hanging around. You will not be signing them to a contract this season. That will happen in the August time frame. You don't even have to sign them by that time etiher and let them drop off your team.
Some things to note:
•We respect NHL salary cap of whatever the current NHL season is. This year was a $71.4 mil pro cap and you can keep $25.870 mil in the farm. Probably a small increase next year.
•BFHL teams need to START the season with a minimum of 35 players.
•It might be worth knowing what a guy cost this season. Check out our Free Agency page for more details. You will then have general idea of what it will cost to sign next season depending on NHL performance this season.
