Congratulations to Storm for almost walking his way in successfully defending the BFHL Championship and first year of the fabled Newcombe-Todd cup. Leading Conn Smythe canidate, James Neal is shown here with his turn with cup! Aside from falling behing 2-0 to the Tigers, they were able to learn from the set backs and turn things in their favour.
It was a good season, nice to see GMs able to push their teams to the next level! The playoffs had a good amount of action and drama which is what playoffs are all about!
Now with the cup available for winning and parading around your home town with, it's even more reason to strive and get your name egraved!
The names of the previous cup winners have been put on including this years winner. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to meet up to pass the Newcombe-Todd cup to Storm GM, Brian. Will definitely document the proud moment when it happens ;)
As for what now? For GMs, not much. You can definitely make trades all summer. We have our entry draft pegged to start July 7th. It will be forum draft as usual. If you can pick within the defined time limits, definitely provide the commisioner team a list to choose from otherwise we will go next highest based on NHL draft.
A few of us in the commish team will be working hard to get next season ready, especially with sourcing a good set of ratings for us to use.
