BFHL Notes & Updates, Draft done at 35

Draft is finished!!!

I don't know about you guys but it was pretty painful for me.  Imagine going to 46 like originally planned?  Anyways, you all got some cap relief because we didn't drop the Farm cap any lower.  I know I need it since I'm riding pretty close to cap... Who knows, maybe we'll do some unassigned signing periods.  Not sure how that's going to work yet.  We will see.

Now some things to consider:

  • Remaining Players from the Draft
    • I'll apply them after Fridays game.  So look for them on your roster after Friday's sim.  This will give you the weekend to re-jig your rosters
  • League Files and Lines
    • When working on new lines, ALWAYS download the latest league files (STS File) so you have the latest updates in regards to your player conditions, injuries, suspensions and etc.
    • This file is always updated after every simulation.
  • Simulation Time
    • 950pm Pacific time sucks.  I'm moving up the simulation time to 850pm pacific starting next week.
  • Financials
    • You will need to try and work our your team books.  We all started out with 10mil in the bank.
    • The only thing we have right now to work with are ticket pricing strategies and keeping your pro player expenses down.
  • Roster Movement and Transactions
    • Before you go on money saving ventures moving players up and down to the farm, note that players over 24 years of age are subject to Waivers if they've played 10 pro games or more (as stated in the league rules).
    • Feel free to start working out trades or other plans you may have but I'm thinking to freeze these types of transactions for a couple weeks just to give myself a chance to breathe a bit and let the sim run... we'll see how it goes.

That's it for now, Happy simming!
