I probably shouldn't be doing this sort of stuff at this hour, but I did it anyways. It was made easier with some big help from Ivan and since he finished his FA stuff so fast, the pressure was on me to get moving :)
It's been a frustrating year ... again ... trying to source our ratings set. We may very well attempt to take it in our own hands and do them ourselves. The biggest fear I have about that is geting the data we need, timely and reliably... BFHL Ratings team anyone? hehe
Anyways, more important stuffs first:
- Entry Draft and Trades have been processed.

Ratings HAVE been applied and online. I know I've got some clean up to do on the site though.
- It's a different rating person this time, so there will be a different style (last year and this year won't be that comparable)
- They are ratings based on 2011-2012 (30%) & 2012-13 (70%) NHL seasons combined.
- Usually if a guy did not play last year, you won't be able to use him. This year, a guy who played in 2011-2012 will still be available.
- I know some of you bet on a guy not being available. That's OK. We will give you the option to go ahead and drop them, without penalty, if you wish. This only applies to players that played in 2011-12 but not in 2012-13.

Prospects Auto Activated
- As we warned last year, prospects that have a rating will be forced activated at remaining NHL salaries.
- 35 Minimum total players still in effect

Salary Cap from the League Rules
- Max Salary Cap: 64.3 Million
- Min Salary Floor: 44.0 Million
- Farm Cap: 2.3 Million (Players in farm are 10% of Pro salary, meaning you can sign $23 Million of NHL Salaries in the farm team)

Your OWN FREE AGENTS deadline is August 25th, 2013, 6PM PST
- Only the free agents on your team first
- Give you guys two weeks to understand what happened to your team.
- Remember, only ONE chance to offer them a contract. If they refuse, hello open market!
- Open Free Agency first deadline is September 1st, 2013, 6PM PST
