Hey Everyone,
Hope all is well and enjoying the NHL games that remain. I finally got off my ass to do some league maintenance and thought I'd give a few updates on what's coming up this off season.
Communications
Some are more active than others, please do not harrass by too many emails and please do not ignore emails. If you're not ready to commit to a trade offer, just say so. It is better to say something within a few days.
If you are going to be away, please post or email me/someone that you will be away for what times and whether or not you can respond to emails.
Trades
Yes they are ready to be posted as they are determined.
Entry Draft
The Entry Draft will again be forum based. We'll have a forum set up where you post your pick when it's your turn and links to help you quickly fire off an email to the next guy. Make sure your emails are current!
Because we are always soooo fast, we are going to start drafting on July 8th, 2013. In an attempt to keep things moving somewhat, there will be two drafting windows. Until July 29th, there is a 48hr window where you must draft from the time of the last person drafted otherwise your turn will be skipped until you come and post. From July 29th, the window will decrease to 24hrs. Lets not put ourselves in any position wait any longer than we have to.

Ratings / Forced Activations
We don't have much control on this topic but I hope to have a solid set of ratings in place anywhere from mid July to August. Going into season five now, we've learned that the people doing the ratings do a pretty good job of representing players. So if you like a guy in the NHL last year, you'll probably like him in the BFHL for 2013/14 :)
Once we have the ratings, I will start the process of forced activations immediately so you can have a better picture of what you have to work with on your team. Force activated players will have played in NHL last year and will take on the remaining salary from NHL to BFHL.
Free Agency
Free Agency all depends on when we can have ratings available. The sooner we have it, the sooner Free Agency can start. I'll be looking at anywhere in the first half of August for signing our own free agents deadline (NHL July 1st), then it's weekly open season free agency.
