Aviators Marks Calendar for Key Games in 2012/13 Season

Aviators have taken off for the 2012-2013 BFHL season and will be looking to get back into the post season after missing it for the first time in 2011-2012. Aviators are facing steep competition again in the ultra-competitive Adams Division which includes the 2012 BFHL Cup winners Nokians. Although the Aviators and Nokians are not known for their rivalry, it is always a good measuring stick when you play the current BFHL Cup Champions. Aviators and Nokians faceoff nine times this year with the first meeting at The Hanger on Nov 11. You can be sure Aviators will have something to prove in that game.

Another key divisional matchups to watch for are agaist Worgs. The two teams will play 7 times this season and it is safe to say these games will be highly anticipated as the Aviators and Worgs rivalry have heated up over the last 4 seasons. The two teams have matched up evenly in the previous 3 with the Aviators having a record of 10 wins and 10 loses with 3 shootout losses. The two GMs have a long history together which includs numerous deals in all 4 seasons (one man's garbage is another man's treasure). First meeting of the two teams is on Nov 19.

Moving to the Campbell Conference, a date many Aviators fans should circle is Oct 31 when Alpacas are in town for a “spook-tacular” Halloween match up where the Aviator look to shear the Alpacas. Another date to circle is Jan 5, where the Aviators look to continue "ringing in the new year" by harpooning the West Coast Killer three hours north on the I-5 visiting the Aquatic Center. Both games should be fast and furious that should see many highlight reel plays along with bone crunching hits as these 3 teams pulled off a huge three-way trade in the off season. All three teams will want the upper hand as they all would like to show that they got the best of the three-way trade. Aviators faceoff against the Alpacas and Killers only 3 times respectively. It would be nice to see more cross-conference play as these three teams would surely develop intense rivalries.
