BFHL Holiday Break Dec 21, 2009 - Jan 1, 2010

Alright, usually for me, hockey doesn't take holidays Wink

But as there seems to be some popular demand for not having the weight of BFHL on our shoulders during the holiday season, we won't be simming the dates from December 21, 2009 to January 1, 2010.

In addition, as a gift, we will sim five rest days to give some of your guys a chance to heal up.  Check the shout box for when this has been done.  Probably sometime on Monday.  Note you really should be watching your players minutes if you haven't been, to avoid this 'Exhaustion' injury.

Rule Update for Management of Teams

Alright, second time in a week that the sim has been messed up because of inattention to a teams' roster.  We don't want this league to be a burden on anyone however, it's not unreasonable to at least do a quick check up on your team once a week.  the sim runs Monday to Friday at 850pm PST.

REMINDER: Contracts Turn One Way after 25 Games Played

There have been a couple instances where people are asking why they are over cap in the farm when they think they shouldn't.

In this season of BFHL, everyone is on a two way contract.  Note that players that have played 25 pro games will have their contracts pernamently turned into one way contracts.  No more 90% discount!

Craig Conroy Claimed off Waivers from Supastas by Tony the Tigers

Tony the Tigers, on a bit roll of late, knocking off the flying low Aviators, have dipped into the waiver pool looking for more veteran presense and depth down the middle.  They have claimed Craig Conroy from the Supastas, who made a big splash themselves in the free agent pool picking up Patrick Marleau.  This was a necessary salary cap move for the Supastas as Conroy is now on a one way contract and they probably still need a little bit more help to get some breathing room!
